Termination of Chi-X TraCRs

On 18 November 2021, Deutsche Access Investments Limited (DAIL) announced it will discontinue its Chi-X TraCR offering and terminate all Series of Chi-X TraCRs on 21 February 2022.

What existing holders need to do?

If you currently hold Chi-X TraCRs, you have three choices leading up to the termination date:

  1. Sell your Chi-X TraCRs on-market anytime up to 21 February 2022. Market makers are expected to continue providing buy/sell spreads as per current arrangements.

DAIL will not charge you a fee when you sell TraCRs on the Chi-X Market. Standard brokerage fees apply to all trades.

  2. Prior to the close of market on 16 February 2022, submit a cancellation request directly to the Registrar to convert your Chi-X TraCRs to the underlying US share. A US brokerage account will be required. Your account/custodian details will need to be provided to Link Market Services.

  3. Do nothing – After the termination date, DAIL will arrange for the sale of the underlying US shares, deduct any applicable tax, convert to AUD and pay the amount to you.

Transaction costs will be incurred by DAIL in the process and be reflected in the final proceeds received. Westpac Share Trading will not charge you brokerage.
