Trading Code SMS – additional layer of security when placing or amending trades online

On 7 February, we introduced Trading Code SMS as an optional additional layer of security for your Westpac Share Trading account/s.

You can opt in to Trading Code SMS online via My Account > Password & Trading Code

When opted in to Trading Code, all accounts that you have trade authority on (excluding any Global Markets Accounts) will require a security SMS code to be sent to your preferred mobile number. This will occur when placing a new order on an account or amending an existing order.

The SMS will contain a 6 digit code to enter into the designated section on the order review page before submitting your order to market.

Note: This code is not required when trading through the Westpac Share Trading mobile app. You can opt out at any time as this service is optional.
